About

The good ones deserve good stuff

Goodies for Bio started in a spare room in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, with a bad bag of treats and a stubborn beagle called Bramble. He would eat anything that fell on the kitchen floor and nothing that came out of that bag, and reading the label explained why: four rendered meals, three things that were mostly sugar, and a preservative you would not put in your own food. We went looking for something better, found the choice was either supermarket filler or boutique prices with no more honesty behind them, and decided to do the reading ourselves.

That reading became the business. We started in 2023 with eleven products we had personally tested on some very willing volunteers, sold to friends, then to their friends, then to people who found us because someone at a dog park recommended us. We have grown steadily since. We are still small, still in New Jersey, and still refusing to list anything none of us would give our own animals.

How we choose what to sell

We buy direct from manufacturers wherever we can, because it lets us ask questions and get real answers rather than a marketing sheet. Before a product goes on the site, three things have to be true.

We know what is in it. For anything edible that means a full ingredient breakdown, the protein source named and traceable, and no rendered meals, added sugars or artificial preservatives. If a supplier cannot tell us where the chicken came from, we do not list the chicken.

It survives contact with a real animal. Every durable product spends time with our own dogs and cats and with a group of long-suffering local testers whose animals range from a nine-pound rescue terrier to a Newfoundland who treats furniture as a suggestion. Roughly a third of what we trial never makes the site. Beds that flatten in a month, toys that shed stuffing on day two, and clippers that overheat halfway through a double coat all get returned to the supplier with our notes.

The price is honest. We would rather sell one bed that lasts four years than four beds that last one. Where we charge more than a supermarket, it is because the thing genuinely costs more to make, and the product page explains what you are paying for.

What we will not do

We do not run fake countdown timers, we do not invent original prices to discount from, and we do not publish reviews we did not receive. If a product is out of stock we say so rather than taking your money and hoping. If we get something wrong — and we do — we fix it and tell you what happened.

The happy-tails guarantee

Animals have opinions and they are not always the ones you paid for. If something is not right, send it back within 30 days and we will refund it, including treats your dog has already tried and rejected. We would rather carry the cost of a returned bag than have you keep buying something your animal will not eat. The full detail is on our Shipping & Returns page.

Where we are

We pick and pack from our own facility at 2140 Springdale Rd, Suite 8, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003. Orders leave within one to two business days. The email address at the bottom of every page reaches a person, not a queue, Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm Eastern.

Bramble is eleven now, greyer around the muzzle, and still the reason any of this exists. He has strong opinions about the salmon training bites and no opinions at all about the dental sticks, which we sell anyway, because his teeth are not his department.
