Heated Outdoor Shelter

An insulated outdoor shelter for working dogs, barn cats and anything that lives outside in a real winter. Walls, floor and roof are all insulated, with a raised floor that keeps ground cold and damp out of the bed. The thermostatically controlled heating pad draws very little power and switches off on its own above 10C, so it is not running all spring. A vinyl storm flap on the door keeps wind out while letting the animal come and go freely. The roof is hinged and lifts fully for cleaning. Exterior is UV-stable resin that will not fade or chalk after a season, and every seam is sealed.

Specifications: insulated walls, floor and roof, raised floor, thermostatic heating pad with automatic cut-off above 10C, vinyl storm flap, hinged full-lift roof, UV-stable sealed resin exterior. Care: lift the roof and clean out monthly through winter; check the pad cable for chew damage at the same time. Route the cable through the moulded channel and use an outdoor-rated RCD-protected socket. Do not add loose blankets on top of the heating pad, as they trap heat against it and defeat the thermostat.
